Untitled Actions (for ACCA)
2017
This project was commissioned by ACCA for the exhibition Unfinished Business: Perspectives on Art and Feminism 15 December 2017 – 25 March 2018.
In the latter half of 2017 I gained access to the exhibition spaces, offices and architectural anomalies of the Australian Centre for Contemporary Art (ACCA) to explore the physical and conceptual site for the presentation of art. Using my body to articulate these spaces I created a series of photographs that speak to the nature of the gallery as a site for public and private spatial relationships, their impacts on the body, as well as the inherent power dynamic of such spaces.
