This work was commissioned by MUMA for acquisition by the Monash University Collection. The series of 10 photographs investigate institutional spaces around the Monash University Clayton Campus, mostly engaging with buildings within the Science faculty, but also including iconic modernist architecture such as Robert Blackwood Hall, the Law Library and the former site of the Monash University Museum of Art.
The work explores a bodily interaction with the architecture of public and private space. Through my work I aim to investigate specific gestures and movements undertaken within these spaces, whilst the photographic process of recording the body in space depicts a physical and experiential memory of these sites.
